Jason Pye's excellent post on the minimum wage over at Control Congress and the conversation John and I had in the comments section inspired me to post this.
The PC talk and education in this country is destroying us and the future of this GREAT country for our children. I am sick of the PC talk and education- it is time for EC talk and education. (EC= eeevil conservative, for those of you in Rio Linda).
We can teach our children how to avoid being poor and keep religion and morality out if it. It is very easy. It is called MATH, and playing the odds in your favor- instead of stacking the deck against yourself.
The NATIONAL CENTER FOR POLICY ANALYSIS has done an EXCELLENT study on this. In fact, I have created a workshop- called "Playing the Odds to Win in Life." The entire workshop is based on this study and geared towards our youth. These simple statistics should be the cornerstone of every school in the nation. This study should be shared over and over and over again to our children instead of teaching them how to put a condom on a cucumber and recite Muslim prayers to learn "diversity."
Check it out...
About 31 million Americans live in households with incomes below the poverty level, according to the latest U.S. Census data. Poverty is more than a lack of income. It is also the consequence of specific behaviors and decisions. The 2001 Census data clearly show that dropping out of high school, staying single, having children without a spouse, working only part time or not working at all substantially increase the chances of long-term poverty. Certain behaviors are a recipe for success. Among those who finish high school, get married, have children only within a marriage and go to work, the odds of long-term poverty are virtually nil.
this survey points out 4 very easy rules and remedies to avoid poverty:

Do you know why rich people are rich? Because they continue to do the things that make them so...
Do you know why poor people are poor? Because they continue to do the things that make them so...
Kinda ironic, uh?
I enjoyed playing cards with you tonight.
Thanks,
