Tony Snow (whom I adore) came out Monday and announced that the “Stay the Course” phrase would now be abandoned. What a WHIMPY move! Just DEFINE what it means guys- for Pete’s sake. Giving into the Drive By Media is the weakest move we can make. President Bush- you took us to war for a worthy cause- defend it- damnit! The methods to reach the goal will always change in a war. It is the entire process of war. We must be flexible, willing to change course, always have an alternate action plan, depending on what the enemy does. DUH!
But the march, the journey, stays the same. VICTORY!
Benchmarks, Timeline- whatever you want to call it; being able to maneuver and change is the name of the game and the blueprint for success. I don’t care if the methods change, but lately, the message seems to be changing.
It gets worse. Vice President Dick Cheney is for water boarding, then NOT for water boarding? Or is it “simulated” drowning?
Bottom line is this. The message to the enemy should be clear. WE ARE HERE TO WIN! WE WILL BE HERE UNTIL HELL FREEZES OVER, IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES! YOU WILL NOT HAVE IRAQ AS A SAFE HAVEN FOR A TERROR STATE! YOU WILL NOT TERRORIZE IRAQI CITIZENS UNIMPEDED! WE WILL HUNT EVERY ONE OF YOU DOWN AND DESTROY YOU!

Simulate Drowning? HA! Only for the good little terrorists that sing like canaries! As for the rest of them- no simulation needed. These are terrorists. They torture, they kill, they behead; and they don’t save these actions for just anybody. These actions are fair game for ANYONE and EVERYONE who disagrees with them. Loving on their captured buddies will NEVER change this. NEVER- EVER!
So- this is why I am single- and am THRILLED about it.
Someone has to wear the pants, and I am not handing the pants over to a man who prefers a pleaded skirt.

#2: Bush has NEVER been a conservative. He is a socialist. What do you think neocons are? They are Socialists.
People like to brag about how brilliant he is supposed to be. Sure, he got into Yale, but he got in there because of his Daddy and his Grand-Daddy's financial legacy. And then, he barely graduated with a "C-Average."
He didn't do jack for his education and hasn't done jack in his life except have money and power granted to him. This is a guy that has no character within himself...he is the puppet of anyone who knows how to pull his strings.
Don't insult us REAL conservatives with whining about how Bush is changing his "stay the course" plans. His "stay the course" plans were all a facade built around buzzwords like "compassionate conservatism" and other bullsh** terminology that HE certainly doesn't believe.

I agree with your basic characterization of President Bush. The strategy of Karl Rove to push the Republican Party deeply into the realm of liberalism and big government worked well through three elections as the Democrats felt compelled to move further to the left, eventually resulting in the schism between their Socialist and Communist factions. Surprisingly, the Communist Party of the United States has all but disbanded and gives its total support now to the Democrat Party. Ironically, the Democrats used Rove's game plan against the Republicans by employing conservative-value pawns to flank the RINOs - knowing that none of these newly-elected pawns will ever achieve any power (just as the Russian Communists used the hapless Bolsheviks).

Maybe you should chill out...just a tad.....I am calling on Bush and the rest of the GOP to stop kicking the conservative base in the teeth....this is what lost the election...they literally treat the REAL and TRUE conservatives the same way the Dems treat the blacks....
but you can join them and Bash me too.......bashing the base is a brilliant tactic....it is working so well....

I liked refering to it as a camode for a number of years, and the habit of calling it "the head" wore off after I was out of the Army for a few years..."john" is one I use quite often, and I wanted to attribute that to Archie Bunker, but for some reason I'm only remembering him refer to it as a "turlet"...actually, he said it both ways.
I think the cowboys are working for Bill Parcells, and the fake cowboys are line dancing at hee-haw joints all across America...either that or they're slow dancing with one another. That's the word on the street.
