The purpose of these writings is quite simple. We wanted to provide an easy to use tool in understanding Alinsky’s teachings, the tactics used by his followers, their motives, and the contrast of these to the spirit of America and her forefathers. Alinsky’s goal was revolution, just as our forefathers; but the outcome of each revolution are as different as freedom vs slavery.

No one can begin the study of Rules for Radicals without noting that Alinsky includes a quote from Thomas Paine and one from himself at the onset.

Paine quote:

“Lest them call me rebel and welcome, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of devils, were I to make a whore of my soul….”

Alinsky quote:

“Lest we forge at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.”

Alinsky makes it clear with his quote from Paine, that his soul is invested in this revolution; hence calling him a name, like “rebel,” does not concern him. Yet he uses Paine of all people to establish this. I submit he used Paine as some way to not just legitimize himself, but to portray him as noble in his own eyes as well to others. I also conclude that he uses Lucifer as an example of a rebel, the first one to set the record straight that even calling him Satan himself will not dissuade him, he is committed. He wants his followers to be just as committed. He also establishes with his quote about Lucifer that the prize or goal for this deep dedication is one’s own “kingdom.” I’d also like to note that it is quite cute that he compares history to legends and mythology and challenges that no one really knows that there is any difference between them. As we continue this study, you will notice that he uses this technique quite often. He takes legitimate things, and mixes them among “evils” in an attempt to subliminally make them equal.

In the first paragraph of his prologue he attempts to establish that the “system” is flawed, everyone knows it, and the people cry out to “burn it down.” In the second paragraph he claims that the radicals of his generation are the vanguard, and few of them survived the “Joe McCarty holocaust of the early 1950’s” and even fewer gained an insight “beyond the “dialectical materialism of orthodox Marxism.” Alinsky wastes not time making very clear his motivation and his end game objective; Marxism.

The third paragraph begins with this:

“Today’s generation is desperately trying to make some sense out of their lives and out of the world. Most of them are products of the middle class. They have rejected their materialistic backgrounds, the goal of a well-paid job, suburban home, automobile, country club membership, first class travel, status, security, and everything that meant success to their parents. They have had it, they watched it lead their parents to tranquilizers, alcohol, long-term-endurance marriages, or divorces, high blood pressure, ulcers, frustration, and the disillusionment of “the good life.”

Note that he combines country club membership, first class travel, and status, with a well-paid job, suburban home, automobile, and security; while labeling them all as materialistic. I have yet to find a youngster who does not long for the freedom of the use of or for the possession of their own car. He is suggesting that a poor paying dead-end job, an inner city shack, dependence upon public transportation (government run and subsidized transportation, by the way), and lack of security should be the goals of true radicals? What kind of world or future is that? You see, security and personal property are evil and materialistic. Having nothing to live for is noble and makes you sincere and worthy to be his foot soldier. He believes the youth have rejected these sins of their parents. He wants his followers, his fellow radicals, to have NOTHING that would interfere with what he wants from them. He wants them to have nothing to lose, so there is no action or deed with too big a price for them to take.

We are only 2 and a half paragraphs into the prologue folks, but I think this is enough for today. I want to keep these short so that busy folks can keep up without giving up too much time with their families, etc.

We have been trained to learn lies for decades. Just ask the average American when our Declaration of Independence was signed, and they will tell you it was July 4th of 1776. The truth is that the Declaration was not actually signed until August 3rd. Ask the average American citizen who was our first elected President and they will tell you George Washington. Truth be told, John Hanson was our first President and General George Washington was actually our 8th President. Our country's first constitutional document was the Articles of Confederation which was a good first effort and led to our current U.S. Constitution. Knowledge of these events helps us understand the importance of our nation's Constitution. We should never ignore the intentions of our founding documents, including the importance of the 9th and 10th Amendments. They are there for good reason.

These little trivia caveats deliver many different reactions when I share them with students throughout our state. I have visited 3rd grade classrooms and University classrooms talking and sharing our Declaration and Constitution with students. The third grade students are excited to learn something new. They like the feeling of knowing something their own parents and teachers don’t know. The college students get angry. They don’t like being lied to and they want to know why. Both groups have one thing in common, whether they be 8 or 28, they realize that knowledge is power.

Let me share with you the two most sinister and disturbing lies we have been trained to believe.
We have been tricked into thinking that we could not possibly understand our Constitution. My fellow Americans, nothing could be further from the truth. Our Constitution was not written for lawyers. It was not written for politicians. Our Constitution was written by the people, for the people. “WE the People” means just that, WE the People; not WE the all knowing folks here in Congress.

Our Constitution is not written in legalese. Our Constitution does not belong to those in Washington, DC. It does not belong to Constitutional attorneys. It belongs to YOU. It is not “the” Constitution,” it is “OUR” Constitution. Once you have been convinced that you cannot understand “the” Constitution, you are at the mercy of those who do understand “that” document. Anyone who has had to pay an attorney to help read a contract before they sign it understands how this works. There is no mall print nor Ivy League terms in your Constitution.
The other big lie is that the government grants you rights. Our government does not grant you the right of free speech, the right to bear arms, or the right to gather. These rights are “unalienable” rights granted to us by our Creator, and the government is granted the job of protecting these rights. Unalienable means that you cannot be separated from these rights.

Our ninth and tenth Amendments to our Constitution distinctly clarify our form of government as a Republic, as opposed to a Democracy. This distinction is monumental. I challenge you to read these Amendments. Don’t be afraid to give it a try, both of them are merely one sentence in length. Now how is that for simple?

It is time for American citizens to stop allowing themselves to be duped out of their power over their own lives and own governance. It is time we all stand up to the challenge of being an informed citizen of this country. We have inherited the most precious heirlooms to ever be passed down from generation to generation; Freedom, Liberty, and Justice for ALL.
I suggest we not only require our children to learn our Constitution, but we make sure each of them is given their own copy of our Declaration and our Constitution. Be sure to add a warning label; “No Attorneys Necessary.” It is time we realize that we do not need a law degree, a uniform, a seat in government, or a pay check to guard our inheritance. It is our duty. Stand with me today and take the Oath. “I, Sherri Reese, do solemnly swear that I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend my Constitution of the United States." It is Time.

We can teach our children how to avoid being poor and keep religion and morality out if it. It is very easy. It is called MATH, and playing the odds in your favor- instead of stacking the deck against yourself.

The NATIONAL CENTER FOR POLICY ANALYSIS has done an EXCELLENT study on this. In fact, I have created a workshop- called "Playing the Odds to Win in Life." The entire workshop is based on this study and geared towards our youth. These simple statistics should be the cornerstone of every school in the nation. This study should be shared over and over and over again to our children instead of teaching them how to put a condom on a cucumber and recite Muslim prayers to learn "diversity."

Check it out...

How Not to Be Poor

About 31 million Americans live in households with incomes below the poverty level, according to the latest U.S. Census data. Poverty is more than a lack of income. It is also the consequence of specific behaviors and decisions. The 2001 Census data clearly show that dropping out of high school, staying single, having children without a spouse, working only part time or not working at all substantially increase the chances of long-term poverty. Certain behaviors are a recipe for success. Among those who finish high school, get married, have children only within a marriage and go to work, the odds of long-term poverty are virtually nil.

this survey points out 4 very easy rules and remedies to avoid poverty:

Stay in School.

Get a Job.

Get Married.

Don't Have Children Out of Wedlock.

Ignorance is slavery. There are examples all throughout our society of how ignorance and propaganda is used to control people.

Anyone who dares to seek truth in history will be surprised to find out the amount of lies that they know to be facts.

Many of us remember the controversy over religious societies in Texas marrying off young girls. We are products of our environments. We all find security and self definition by what we know. Being ripped out of this place is not merely scary, it is downright traumatic. This is one of the reasons why Neo's red pill/blue pill decision in The Matrix is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time.

I am sure most of you reading this feel quite comfortable in your knowledge of history. We are fools.

Let me give you a simple example. Ask any average American citizen when the Declaration of Independence was signed, and they will tell you July 4th, 1776. Wrong. Independence was actually declared on July 2nd with what is known as the Lee Resolution. The final wording of a declaration for independence was agreed upon on July 4th.

    • July 19 - Congress ordered the Declaration of Independence engrossed (officially inscribed) and signed by members.
    • August 2 - The engrossed copy of the Declaration of Independence was signed by most of the delegates. Elbridge Gerry, Oliver Wolcott, Lewis Morris, Thomas McKean, and Matthew Thornton all signed on a later date.

There is an ongoing debate among historians as to whether or not George Washington was the first President of the United States, or if John Hanson was the first official President. I understand the reasons for such a debate, but there is no actual debate about the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Amidst the “bailout” debacle going on in Washington, DC, the daily news cycle uses the terms Federal Reserve and Treasury Department. What do you know about the Federal Reserve? There is nothing “federal” about the Federal Reserve, and there is no “reserving” associated it with this group either; unless you consider that they reserve the right to access your (federal) money. Who gave them this “right?” The Federal Reserve is actually a group of private banks. We pay them about half a Billion dollars a year just to print our money.

Here are a few more facts for you. “Civil Rights” has nothing to do with sexism and discrimination, but everything to do with ideology. The ACLU was created for the sole purpose of promoting communism; it was literally the stated goal of co-founder Roger Baldwin. The American Historical Association was created after the prominent historians of that time (late 1800’s) refused to alter (or rewrite) history.

Why is it that Americans are so lazy and apathetic towards the daily drum of propaganda they are fed? I realize history can be a bore, but where is the outrage over the history that is taught to us being based on lies? I cannot imagine that if our local schools were teaching our children that 2 and 2 equals 9 that this would be okay with us.

It’s not that tough to teach truth folks. I visited a class of 3rd graders on Friday, November 14th to talk to them about the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. This group of eight and nine year olds was astounding! Just to set the table correctly, this class was in a public school, with a strong minority population; this was not in a high class, affluent neighborhood. These children were bright, energetic, and eager to learn.

When I returned the following Friday to talk to them about the real story of Thanksgiving, I took a few moments to ask them what they remembered from the week before. They remembered everything. They remembered everything I taught them. In fact, they and their teacher were excited to share with me about a movie they had watched together earlier that very day. The movie mentioned that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th of 1776. They couldn’t wait to tell me that they knew better. They knew different. They knew the truth.
I realize that the day the Declaration was signed is not nearly as significant as to why it was signed, but why teach falsehoods at all? Why are we so lazy about what our children and we are being taught as truth and fact? In order to make good decisions, we must have the ability to make informed decisions. We are the government. We are a country governed by the people, not a people governed by elitists; or are we?

Would you knowingly and purposefully give up your right to vote and participate in your own governing? Would you willingly give up your freedom for dictatorship? Our elected officials do not serve the will of the people. They do not uphold their oath of office.

The oath says nothing about providing for the needs and wants of the poor, the underclass, business owners, or minorities. It is a simple oath. They have one task they swear to. They swear “to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America….against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” This oath is much like the oath taken by those who serve in our military. Yet, the dirty little secret is that much of what they do in Washington, DC has nothing to do with that oath.

I call Washington, DC everyday (every working, weekday- and sometimes on weekends as well, depending on what is going on up there). There is only one office that has ever responded kindly when I mention the Constitution. You would be appalled at the pure and utter contempt they have at the mere mention of the document. Those who are not disgusted are completely ignorant.

I once was told by a Senator’s staffer that bills are not allowed to even be introduced unless they are Constitutional. The poor gal obviously has no idea why there is even a need for the Supreme Court of the United States. I once asked if there was anyone in the office that had read the Constitution. “Are you insinuating we haven’t?” they asked. I replied, “No. I am not insinuating anything. I am asking.” “Well, none of us in the office are Constitutional attorneys,” was the reply.

The third graders I talked to know better than these staffers. I told them something no one had ever told them before. The Constitution was not written for politicians or attorneys. It was written for you. It takes all of an eighth grade education to be able to read the Constitution. Some of the Amendments to the Constitution are merely one sentence. That’s it, just one sentence.

How can we possibly protect our rights if we don’t even believe we have the ability to read the Constitution and understand what our rights are? Do yourself a favor. No matter what party you might affiliate yourself with, or hold allegiance to; don’t live in ignorance. In order to truly abolish slavery in this country, stomp out ignorance. Start with yourself and then teach what you learn to others.

Ignorance is slavery.

Do you have a job in the United States of America? If so, you may want to know what your public servants are doing with your money in Washington DC. They have flushed over $900 of yours down the toilet already.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act authorized a program called TARP. TARP is the Troubled Asset Relief Program and was passed on October 3, 2008. This is commonly called “The Bailout Bill”. The price tag put on this bill was $700 billion dollars. The “Stimulus Bill” that sits in the Senate right now is set to spend an additional $800 Billion. Has anyone in DC bothered to give us the math on just how much of our money they want to spend here?
According to the Current Population Survey there are 142,099,000 jobs in the United States as of the end of January of 2009. This includes agriculture, non-agriculture, payroll jobs, and the self-employed. This means that $4,926.14 per job has been allocated just on the TARP bill. We still do not know what the final amount of the Stimulus Bill will be, but we can currently estimate it to be at least $800 billion. That $800 billion will cost an additional $5,629.88 per job. The grand total of just these two bills comes to $10,553.02 per job.

If you have a job, you pay taxes, right? Wrong. If you have a job, it does not necessarily mean that you actually pay Federal Income Taxes. This is where things get tricky, and the math cannot be as exact as we would like, however we sure can get close. It is estimated that only 60% of those who file taxes, actually pay Federal Income Tax. This means that about 85,259,400 Americans are actually paying for these bills.

Revise the figures to only include taxpayers, and it gets even worse. TARP alone will cost $8,210.24 per tax payer and we can safely estimate that the Stimulus Bill will cost an additional $9,383.13 per tax payer. Now the grand total, for just these two bills, comes to $17,593.37. And that is JUST these two bills. The Government still plans to spend another $3,000,000,000,000 dollars to fund the rest of the Fed Government this year!
If you are not frustrated yet, just wait, it gets better.

Out of the $700 billion dollars allocated for the Bailout Bill, only $294 billion has been spent so far. According to Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law professor who serves on the Advisory Committee Board for the FDIC, and heads up an oversight panel on TARP, $78 billion has already been misspent. The Treasury spent $245 billion dollars on assets only worth $176 billion. This means that 26% of the money already spent has literally been wasted, and some of these “troubled” banks made out like bandits! Just that waste alone works out to be $914.86 per tax payer.

At this rate, each taxpayer can expect that $4,574.28 of their money allocated to these two bills will be completely wasted. I don’t know about you, but I am sure we could do a much better job with our money than our public servants in DC can!

Here is another way to look at this. If you are a real taxpayer, and you make around $47,500 per year, the Treasury has already wasted one week’s pay for you. Or, we can compare this spending to the price tag on the War on Terror. According to Stars and Stripes, “The Pentagon has spent $864 billion on combat operations since 2001.” This means that the cost of these two bills alone, submitted in the past 4 months, would be almost double what we have spent in the past 7 years on the Afghan and Iraqi Wars.

We have not even touched the issue of interest on this spending and what it means to the American tax payer. Louie Hunter of Americans for Tax Reform points out the long term effects,” Needless to say this stimulus package will be DOA just as soon as the checks are mailed. The only ones making any money will be the Federal Reserve and our great grandchildren will be paying our bills. "

The GAO (Government Accountability Office) is required to oversee TARP, and is assigned to do a report every 60 days on their findings. According to their latest report, released on February 5, 2009, they are unable to calculate if any of the $294 billion already spent has made any impact on economy. I would point out that the loss of 598,000 jobs in January of 2009 would indicate that the Treasury has done nothing to actually help. Congress needs scrap the current stimulus bill, forget their retreats (both parties), and have sit down with the folks that helped this country recover from the economic disaster of the late 1970’s.

A report released by the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education shows a rise in college tuition could be a cause for alarm among young Americans seeking higher education.
Digital Journal- According to the NCPPHE web site, they are a nonpartisan, nonprofit, independent organization that “promotes public policies that enhance Americans’ opportunities to pursue and achieve high-quality education and training beyond high school.” The state by state report cards are done every two years. The latest, “Measuring Up 2008,” was published on December 3 of this year and funded by grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Lumina Foundation for Education.

The study uses percentages of family incomes as a way to measure rising costs not based only on tuition, but by using the overall percentage of income needed to pay for tuition, fees, room and board. Families in the lowest income bracket were reported to spend 39% of median income for a public university education in 1999-2000, compared to the present at 55%. For community colleges, the increase went from 40% in 1999-2000 to 49%.

The amount of appropriations that colleges and universities receive from their states has been a major factor in rising costs. Many universities have begun to offer more online courses, and to use more adjunct professors in efforts to cut expenses and keep costs down.
The state receiving the highest grade for affordability was California with a C-.

 Poor and working-class families must devote 40% of their income, even after aid, to pay for costs at public four-year colleges.
 Financial aid to low-income students is low. For every dollar in Pell Grant aid to students, the state spends 56 cents.

The state of Georgia has developed the HOPE program (Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally), funded by the state lottery system, in order to help all Georgia residents afford a college education, regardless of age or income. The HOPE program requires recipients to carry an acceptable GPA in order to receive and keep their financial aid.

“Since the HOPE Program began in 1993, over $3.8 billion in HOPE funds have been awarded to more than 1.1 million students attending Georgia's colleges, universities, and technical colleges.”

Even with HOPE, Georgia received an F for affordability from the “Measuring Up 2008” report.

 Poor and working-class families must devote 40% of their income, even after aid (including HOPE scholarships), to pay for costs at public four-year colleges.
 The state makes almost no investment in need-based financial aid.

If you are curious to know how your state “measured up” and what grade they received in the “Affordability” category, you can visit this page and simply click on your state. Before you do, it might help to know that except for California, all of the other 49 states received an “F.”

James B. Hunt Jr., Chairman of National Center's Board of Directors, claims, “In assessing state and national progress in these areas, Measuring Up places the performance of American higher education in a global perspective by incorporating international comparisons wherever possible.”

Darcie Harvey of National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education stated that the grading system was based on affordability of the top 5 states in the early 1990’s. She also admitted that this study did not start until the 1999-2000 time period. For more information about how the grading system works you can visit their “How We Measure Change Over Time” page.

The Federal Reserve has loaned almost $2 trillion of taxpayer's money. In the past 15 months eight programs have been created to funnel the American worker's money into troubled financial markets.

Where is the money going? The Fed says nunya, as in nunya business.

According to Bloomberg.com, "Bloomberg News has requested details of the Fed lending under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and filed a federal lawsuit Nov. 7 seeking to force disclosure." The Federal Reserve board members are not elected by the people, in fact they have no accountability what-so-ever to the American taxpayer. The Federal Reserve is merely a group of private banks. According to Louie Hunter, a lobbyist for Americans for Tax Reform out of Washington, DC, "The Fed is a non-elected body, and do not believe for a second that because the president appoints the head of the Fed that the President has any control over it. Currently and for the last 95 years, our monetary system has been run by the Federal Reserve." (follow link to learn much more about the Federal Reserve)

Barney Frank, House Financial Services Committee Chairman, supports the Fed's lack of transparency. The Congressman claims that disclosure would "give people clues to what your pricing is and what they might be able to sell us and what your estimates are.'' In September of 2003, Frank also stated, ''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' This statement has proven to be false.

Despite the fact that AIG is under investigation by US regulators, the Fed has lent them $81 billion and Bloomberg is reporting that AIG claims "it received an expanded government rescue package valued at more than $150 billion." Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner of the state of Georgia, John Oxendine, revealed in September that all of AIG's insurance accounts at state levels were fine. The problems start when bank holding companies are allowed to own other financial companies. This was prohibited by the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, but repealed in November of 1999, by a vote of 54 Republican Senators and 1 Democrat in favor and 44 (all Democrats) voting against.

Bill O’Reilly’s “No Spin Zone” was full of spin in his "Talking Points" opening Thursday night. He desperately tried to make the case that covering gossip from unnamed “insider campaign” sources was actually news.

He even went so far to claim that not covering the childish snipes from losing, out of work campaigners would be “suppressing” news.

It seems the populist Bill O’Reilly is vying for head clown in the circus act that calls themselves main stream media. He has the audacity to claim that suppressing gossip (I mean news) just because people don’t want to hear bad things about someone they like, would make his show entertainment instead of news. His show is entertainment. He has weekly trivia contests and is repeatedly over emotional. Any woman conducting a show the way he carries his would be skewered, and rightfully so.

We hear the same things from this guy over and over. Anyone unwilling to come onto his show is either foolish because of his high ratings, or scared of him. This from the same man who in the spring of 2002 made the claim that “God helps those who help themselves” is an actual passage from the Bible. That was the day I stopped trusting Mr. O.

I hate to break it to you Bill, but you are just like the rest of us out here in the real world. Sometimes you get it right and you do your job well, but sometimes you get it wrong and mess up royally. There is no defense on airing and your style of coverage on Carl Cameron’s inside gossip. The real news here was that the Palin children have shown more grace, dignity, and maturity than McCain staffers.

Protecting a source is good journalism, but gossip is gossip. Carl’s “news” was pure gossip.
I have yet to figure out why liberals believe Bill O’Reilly is somehow a conservative voice. I can only guess they get this idea from the mere fact that Mr O has a talk radio show. Bill is a populist, he is not a conservative, nor is he the “independent” he claims to be. He looks around to see who the latest boogieman is and he rides in to attack them and graciously hails himself a hero; “looking out for you.”

Mr O’s credibility is fading fast. He can cling to the idea that his coverage of Palin gossip from faceless and nameless losers is news, and not sharing this with the good people of America would make him entertainment. He can blame his listeners for being biased because they just like Sarah and don’t want to hear anything bad about her. I might even be persuaded to buy his spin if it weren’t for one little fact. Mr O was also the guy who had actual audio of Jesse Jackson saying quite precious things about Senator Obama, but didn’t quite jump on that “news.” Remember that one? No nameless and faceless sources on that story. He had actual footage of the source and he admits full well that they held back more dirt. Why? It wasn’t “relevant.”

In order to solve this problem, the American people deserve to know the truth and the facts as to what lead us here. They also deserve a say in the solution.

How did we get here?

Let’s get something straight. NEITHER political party is 100% at fault, or to blame. Politicians and Business Managers of both party affiliations are to blame. The important thing is to understand the actions taken to put America into this situation.

Freddie and Fanny are the root cause of the problems. This is how it works. Bank of Sherri (that is me) is in the business of making loans. Making loans is a risky business. I don’t make loans that I don’t think will be paid back. However, Bank of Sherri has found a really neat trick. I can make loans to folks that probably can’t afford the loans, make money at it, and leave someone else with the fallout. This is also referred to in the business as making your money on the front end and on the back end.

This is how it works. I make my money on the original loan. Real Estate Agents make their money, brokers make their cut, and the list goes on. All of these folks are paid their cut because we just add their commissions and costs into the loan. I don’t want any money down, even if they have a down payment. I want them to keep that money because it helps me know that they will make the first three payments. When I make a loan to single mother, or another risky victim, I only have one concern; can they make the first three payments? Once they make the first three payments, I can sell the loan to Freddie or Fannie. This is where I make my money in the back. When the loan is not able to be paid, Freddie and Fannie are stuck holding the bag.

Freddie and Fannie don’t need to worry about if the loan is payable, because they are insured by us, the tax payer. There is no boss losing his shirt on the loan to fire me for buying these bad loans. Oh wait. That was what Congress was supposed to be “overseeing.” The folks at Freddie and Fannie cooked the books to make sure they got their bonuses, Congress turned a blind eye, accepted “donations,” and together they defrauded the American tax payer.

What is the Real Crisis?

According to the AP, there are 26 companies under investigation by the FBI. “Cooking the Books” has become a favorite past time on Wall Street. No one seems to trust anyone else on Wall Street anymore, so credit locks up. What does that mean? No one is giving credit because they don’t trust that other companies can pay up. Bankruptcy and government bailouts have been abused.

Paulson sees the credit lock and panics. He runs to Congress and says, “Quick, right me a check.” Congress asks, “What if we don’t?” Paulson replies, “Then, God help us all.” Bernanke offers a tad more information to us. If we don’t write a check for $700 Billion dollars, we won’t be able to get car loans, small businesses will not grow and create jobs, and the economy will stop growing.

Why do they need the $700 Billion? They need it to “bailout” the companies who have gotten us into this mess. Americans let out a very loud roar, “NO WAY!” The phones in DC were getting calls on this “bailout” at a rate of 100 to 1 with the 100 being NO! So what do they do? They start to change the “language” they use, most of us refer to this as “spin.” It is no longer a “bailout,” it is a “rescue.” Americans are still not moved to take it up the shorts. Lo and behold, the rhetoric and spin gets even better. This morning, some brilliant fool from Washington, DC tells us, “We used the wrong word. It is not really a “bailout,” it is an “investment.”

Are you insulted enough yet?

Solution

Let’s review. The pending crisis is that none of the companies on Wall Street are trusted with credit anymore, so credit has been LOCKED. They (Wall Street) need $700 BILLION raked from the pocket of the American worker to save them from the credit Lock. Paulson and gang admit that this may not even work. It sounds to me as if this credit lock is going to happen no matter what. The $700 Billion is just a delay. If companies don’t trust each other for credit, how is a bailout going to prove anyone trustworthy?

The folks in DC are saying that we are in big trouble if we can’t get credit. No wonder. We have proven we cannot handle credit.

Okay, you win Washington, DC. You want an “investment?” I say YES. But I am not interested in investing $700 Billion. I want to up that to ONE TRILLION DOLLARS! Oh, but wait, there is a catch.

The first thing you need to do is solve the trust problem. We want a list. Yes, a big list of all 26 companies under investigation. Included in that list, we want the names of all the high level executives associated with those companies for the past 10 years. This will help solve the problem of others not knowing who they should be doing business with, and who they might want to take a closer look at before engaging in any business deals.

No excuses about the list. If we are in a real crisis, then let’s be grown ups and work for a real solution. We all deserve to know who we can trust.

We will invest, but not one copper penny goes to ANY of the 26 companies under investigation. Instead, I say, let the credit lock go forth and give the $1 Trillion to those companies who have showed they can handle credit. Yes, you got it. Give the $1 trillion dollars to the companies who have showed they can handle credit and who offer credit to small businesses and American folks who deserve credit.

This way, when the credit lock occurs, these deserving companies and Americans will have a safety net of $1 trillion dollars to help float us through this crisis. No matter what we do, innocent people will be hit and hurt by the mess created by crooked politicians and CEO’s.
But to ask the American people to “invest” money in the same people who abused the system is beyond insulting. Ask the American people to invest in the people who have made good decisions and who can manage money wisely. Don’t ask us to invest in the folks who did everything wrong. Ask us to invest in the folks who have done things the right way.

THEN, you will have the support of the American people. Only then, can we be willing to make a sacrifice to get through this crisis, and fight to keep our economy alive. Let us reward the folks who deserve and who have earned our trust. For once, DC, let our “investments” work for the best interests of ALL Americans, not your chosen few.

Lastly, do not ever use another dime of tax payer money to bailout a business or industry. We have had our fill of your abuse, fraud, and insults.

I just don't get it. The combined efforts of the Republicans in the House, Nancy's stunt in pulling the plug in DC, myself, and many other Americans created a re-unification like we have not seen in years. Amazingly enough, BOTH of our GA Senators along with Graham, etc, decide to continue with this "gang" mentality and sabotage it all.

This smells of McCain tactics. It seems to me that this allows McCain to "change" his mind on drilling to appease the people and gain favor for the Presidential Election, yet insure that McCain's original stand of no drilling still succeeds.

I spent six months in 2004 very active in the local campaigns as a campaign manager for Doug McKittrick in the State House race. We were outspent 7 to 1, and missed the run-off by only 20 votes. I don't have formal training, I have never worked as a staffer or intern, but I have gifts and talents in communications, networking, and understanding the hearts and minds of the average American; after all, I am an average American. I can lead a charge, a movement, and can use my networking skills and contacts in very effective ways.

I have spent the last four years concentrating on my children. My youngest girls are about to enter 3rd and 4th grade. I feel I have instilled a foundation in them that is strong enough, where I am able to commit and dedicate myself back into the workforce full time once again.

The idea of the Republicans staying in DC, was not my idea. But I am the one that carried the idea to DC, and to the people. I have spent every waking hour this past week keeping the excitement moving. I have sent and received thousands of messages, phone calls, emails, blog posts, private messages, etc..

I have scheduled trips for folks to DC, made arrangements for them to meet with people on the Hill, scheduled interviews for myself and others. I even interviewed Duncan Hunter on Thursday. My relationships in DC have grown. My following in the blogesphere has grown, my influence on BlogTalkRadio has grown.

This is my point. I am planted in this trench. I am not retreating. I knew the next move was to throw our attention and focus onto the Senate, I was merely waiting to make sure the Republicans in the House were going to actually show up this Monday to continue. Myself and several others had already planned to start moving in on the Senate this Monday. Lo and behold, there is no doubt they proved me right. The folks I have been communicating with were calling me in amazement on Friday when this noise of the gang of 10 was made public and hit the blogesphere. "How did you know?"

I am in talks with two other groups (one not public yet- announcement and web site coming soon) about working for them. I can work 15 hours a day right here from home and make a huge impact. I will continue this fight. I will not stop. It will not stop with drilling, it will not stop with the border and immigration issue. I will not stop.

What I don't understand is how the Republicans can have this kind of support, this level of excitement, and then pull the plug with this gang of 10. They are teaching us that supporting McCain over Obama has truly made us the battered wife. Republicans had the perfect opportunity to battle the Pelosi, Reid, and Obama future of power, and they once again snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

The momentum had changed. They had it in their hands, and they slapped us in the face. We have no where to go. It is time for a new party-- the "Common Sense" Party. There is a movement coming. there is a new emergence of conservative activism. We are ready to battle the Moveon moonbats. We are ready to spank KOS and the Marxist spoilers. But we are no longer willing to allow the Republicans to keep our support just because the other side scares us.

The Republicans have a big decision to make. Do they want to work with us? Do they want us on their side? Or do they want to continue the march into big government with the reputation of the party that had it all and threw it away?

I cannot help but shake the feeling that the Replicans in DC are truly a big government crowd, and they are willing to be the losers in order to make it happen. They are more than willing to lose as long as their agenda of more government control is acheived. Every time the Dems run for the cliff, the Republicans find a way to grab them by the ankles and jump of the cliff first.

I just don't get it!

But I don't have to get it......I only need to fight it.

GIVE ME A PLACE TO STAND AND I WILL MOVE THE EARTH....Archimedes

As you know, I call Washington, DC everyday (every weekday) and I even started to do a radio show each Friday to share with folks the responses that I get. This week I called Senator Obama's office about the Global Poverty Act, and all 23 of the cosponsors- some of them 2 and 3 times. Well, on Thursday, my focus changed.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives held a vote on weather or not they would stay and debate the energy issue, or go on their scheduled vacations. In this vote, 17 Democrats sided with ALL the Republicans and voted to stay. They still came up short by one vote. The vote was 212-213, the 213 Dems voted to go on vacation and worry about energy in the fall. I was talking with a friend of mine from Texas and he said "I wish they would just stay."

Friday morning I jumped on the phone to DC, but this time I was focused on the energy issue. I started calling Republicans in the House to ask them to do just that. I even called (private source that I will not reveal) office, and asked his assistant to PLEASE get this idea to him. I knew there wasn't much time, since we only had a day to even get the idea out, let alone put it together and do it.

I was literally going through the list of Republicans in alphabetical order, calling the offices that I have previously called. The staffers were very nice, and seemed to like the idea, but I did not know, and I still don't know, if any of my messages were forwarded.

When I got to the J's and called Sam Johnson's office the lady who answered the phone told me it was over. She said that they had already turned off the lights, cameras, and microphones. My heart sank.

"You mean they can't stay? Even if they WANT to stay, they can't stay?" I asked.

She just repeated that the lights and microphones were off. I could not believe that the Congressmen could be kicked off of the House floor. I almost gave up. But something in me told me to keep trying. Yes, I am a tad persistent.

Next, I called Kingston's office. WOW! The lady in his office said, yes honey, the lights and microphones are off, but the Republicans are down there raising a raucous. I was so excited! She said "I don't know if they'll get them to turn them back on, but they are down there trying." I thanked her and told her I would try and get the word out.

I immediately went to the best source I knew to get this kind of news out the quickest way possible!

I jumped on my computer and went to Free Republic web site and posted a thread. Here is a link to that article

It became such big news that the Moderators ended up moving it into the Breaking News column in the side margin to give it the most exposure and as time went on, they made some additions. But my original post was this:

CSPAN has shut down coverage of the House. The lights have been turned out.

House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

CALL THE REPUBLICAN OFFICES-- TELL THEM TO KEEP RAISING CAIN!!!!

WE CANNOT LET THE MSM IGNORE THIS!!!!

as you know-- the MSM is the "Main Stream Media"

I also went over to the Rush Limbaugh daily thread and let those folks know what was going on.

I kept urging people to call Washington and encourage the Republicans to STAY!! and we would do our best to make the media cover it.

After 1:00 pm-- Rush Limbaugh mentioned it. Folks were not only calling DC, but they were calling FOX News asking them why they weren't covering it.

Soon- the story was exploding all over the internet. Politico.com started to cover it, Drudge started covering it. Other bloggers were posting information as they were getting it. It was AMAZING!

At 2:00, I jumped onto BlogTalkRadio and called into a friend's show to tell him what was going on. WE BROKE THIS STORY ON ON INTERNET RADIO! He took everything he was going to talk about, shoved it to the side, and we all started covering this story.

You can listen to that show here.

At 3:00, Media Lizzy has her show. We called into her show, and before the end of her show she actually had Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor on her show doing an interview! Media Lizzy is a very well known and very well connected Blog Talk Host. She is the voice of the right on Internet Radio, and one very classy woman. You can hear her show here.

I also covered this on my show Friday night instead of the topics I had researched and planned. You even called into the show!! Here is a link for that show.

Sean Hannity talked about it on his show, Mark Levin, etc....

Here are some of the details that folks may not know, but NEED to know about what happened Friday.

Tom Price and Mike Pence had already lined about 100 Republicans that would each give a 5 minute speech about the energy issue once the last vote was done. They had planned to stay on the floor through til midnight. But Nancy Pelosi pulled a stunt unlike any we have ever seen before. She did a QUICK adjournment without warning to the Republicans. She ordered the cameras out, the lights out, and the microphones off.

About 50 Republicans stayed! The Gallery was filling up, the American people were cheering and giving standing ovations; it was an historical event.

Representative Shadegg was playing with the equipment and managed to get the lights and microphones back on. There was a boy scout troop in the audience, and other folks in town were lining up to come in. Folks were calling CSPAN asking them why they weren't covering this, and they were responding that they could not turn the cameras back on without Pelosi's permission.

Once they adjourn, they can leave it they like, but to shut down the cameras and microphones, and turn off the lights so that the American people cannot hear their Representatives is truly fascist! This is the same woman who promised an OPEN House. She continually blocks bills from even coming out of committe for a vote, but THIS is an absolute abuse of power. A senior staffer called the Republicans morons for showing resolve to do what their constituents have elected them to do.

The staffers answering phones for Republicans were thrilled to have us calling and were very surprised, wanting to know how we even knew about it.

We bombarded Pelosi's office with calls to turn the lights, microphones, and cameras back on. The staffers answering the phones for Pelosi actually hung up on one caller.

When everyone was finally escorted out, the people exited shouting USA! USA! USA! and singing "God Bless America!"

I can’t help but remember the lyrics, “that was the night the lights went out in Georgia.” Of course some of the words can be changed, but it certainly fits our situation today.

The People ask for a vote, and Nancy says we can’t have a vote, because the Republicans lie and we are too stupid to know it. The House Republicans ask for a debate and Nancy turns out the lights. The People pay her to be Speaker of the House, and she claims she is “Savior of the Planet.”

Nancy, if you would like to “save the planet,” by all means- knock yourself out. But do it on your own time, your own dime, and you just MIGHT want to start with China. Join Al Gore’s team, start your own not-for-profit foundation, but DO NOT hold the American people hostage and in financial crisis for your personal agenda and plight. Raise money to promote your new light bulbs instead of writing books. Don’t abuse your position as a servant of the people, be “imaginative.”

Folks, it is amazing the amount of personal plights of the left, and somehow they become a huge hit to our pockets. Obama wants to cut Global Poverty in half. More power to you Barack, but do it on your own. Don’t take the American worker’s money to do your charity. As Glenn Beck so eloquently points out, taking someone else’s money and giving it away is NOT CHARITY! Your office touts that the “Congressional Budget Office confirmed in the report from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that enacting the bill would not affect direct spending or receipts and estimated that implementing the bill would cost less than $1 million per year.” If this is true, Barack, you could have a fundraiser and raise that much money in ONE NIGHT! There is absolutely no reason to involve the people’s money in your personal plight to begin with. In fact, Barack, if this is true, why not raise 2 million dollars (ON YOUR OWN TIME AND DIME) and wipe out “Global Poverty” all together? If you would do THAT, we would ALL vote for you!

The only “STUNT” and/or “PRANK” that took place on Friday, August first, 2008 was Nancy Pelosi ordering the cameras, lights, and microphones off in the PEOPLE’S HOUSE, when it is CUSTOMARY for our Representatives to be allowed to give 5 minute speeches, and even sign up for full hour speeches from the floor; allowing the House Representatives an opportunity to speak to the people on any issue they feel worthy of our attention. I repeat, the STUNT was Nancy abusing her power and cutting the American people off from their Representatives. How fitting that her precious book title be “Know Your Power.” My question is this; Nancy how about you KNOW YOUR RESPONSINILITY and the LIMITS to your power granted to you by US, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?

Sweaters, tire gauges, and light bulbs will never help keep American dollars out of the hands of dictators like Ahmadinejad and Chavez, nor will they allow Americans to be Energy Independent. Our entire foundation of this country is based on INDEPENDENCE!

Stop being a RULER Nancy, be a leader and get back to Washington, DC for the sake of American Independence.

Well folks, we had an AWESOME day on Friday, but there is more to do!

1) Keep calling DC! Yes folks, resume to the phones on Monday morning. Call everyone- NOT just your Representative. Call EVERY House Representative in DC and ask them to keep talking about energy. Tell them what state you are calling from. Tell them that WE, the people, WANT to hear them. The LIGHTS ARE NOT OUT ON THE INTERNET! Pelosi CANNOT shut down the internet! We are HERE! We are WAITING! Pelosi CANNOT black out the American people from their Representatives! SHE wants this to fade off the radar, but WE WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN as long as THEY want to talk to us, WE ARE HERE AND WAITING!

2) Call the MSM—remind them that the STUNT on Friday was NOT the Republicans continuing to talk. It is CUSTOMARY that once adjourned, Representatives can continue to give 5 minute speeches on the floor. The STUNT was that the Speaker of the House turned out the lights, cut the microphones, and turned off the cameras. THAT is the STUNT! THAT is the out of ordinary event of Friday.

3) MILLION PATRIOT MARCH on DC! Prepare to swarm DC on September 8th, 2008! SHOW UP! Come with signs, bullhorns, cameras, phones, laptops any device available. Not only BE the news and the VOICE of America, but BREAK the news to America! We will have FREEPERs here to report your news, bloggers here to report your news, and BLOGTALKRADIO Hosts here to report as well.
